We just finished a delicious dinner of Pho (look for that to be published in the coming days) and we had both some basil and some lime left over. I think it is only appropriate to whip up a cocktail that captures the essence of the dinner, and is delicious to boot. Enjoy.
- ~5 Basil Leaves
- 2 lime wedges
- 1/2 t. Sugar or Simple Syrup
- Juice of Half a Lime
- 1 1/2 oz Hendricks Gin
- Tonic Water
Place basil and lime wedges in the bottom of a pint glass.
Sprinkle sugar over and muddle thoroughly.
Add gin, ice cubes, and lime juice and fill the remainder of the glass with tonic.
Give a quick stir and enjoy a nice refreshing beverage for a warm spring night.
